Excellence Grants Criteria
The application process for Excellence Grants is now complete for the 2007-2008 school year. We will begin accepting applications for 2008-2009Teacher Excellence Grants again in September. Completed current applications, signed by your principal, must be left in the NPEF mailbox in the Central Administration Office.
All projects must be completed during the school year in which the grant is received. Grants up to $500.00 will be considered. Additionally, we will also be offering grants up to $1000 each (1 high school and 2 elementary) as well as 3 all-grade-level grants at Thompson Middle School. You must designate in advance in which category your grant is to be considered.
- The proposal must state how the project supports student learning and addresses Standards. Your proposal must also include the criteria you will use to show what your students have learned.
- The project must assist in meeting the various accountability requirements of K-12 and directly support curriculum.
- The proposal must include a detailed budget.
- The proposal must include a timeline for implementation of the project.
- Priority will continue to be given to projects submitted by or in collaboration with classroom teachers. Teachers may work together to develop a project and submit a single application.
- Applications must be typed and must include a current, year-round e-mail address.
- ALL grant recipients are required to participate in the Spring Showcase and complete an evaluation form before June 2008.
- Starting this year, emergency requests will also be accepted on a limited basis during the school year.
