Excellence Grants Criteria

We will begin accepting applications for 2010-2011 Teacher Excellence Grants in September 2010.  All applications must now be submitted online

All projects must be completed during the school year in which the grant is received.  Individual teacher grants up to $750.00 will be considered.  Additionally, we will also be offering 3 grants up to $1500 each (1 high school, 1 middle school and 1 elementary) as well as 1 grant of $2500 to one elementary school OR one grade level (from grades 5-12) that will benefit students, be inclusive of all students in the school/grade and have 80% support from all teachers in the school/ grade.  You must designate on the application form in which category your grant is to be considered.

  • The proposal must state how the project supports student learning and addresses Standards.  Your proposal must also include the criteria you will use to show what your students have learned.
  • The project must support the district curriculum.
  • The proposal must include a detailed budget.
  • The proposal must include a timeline for implementation of the project.
  • Priority will continue to be given to projects submitted by or in collaboration with classroom teachers.  Teachers may work together to develop a project and submit a single application.
  • Applications must be submitted online.
  • Evidence of granted projects must be represented in the end-of-the-year showcase and each recipient must complete an evaluation form before June 2010.
  • If funds are still available, additional requests will also be considered during the school year for proposals of high interest or special programs initiated after the preliminary deadlines.
