The Newport Public Education Foundation is pleased to announce that grants totaling more than $17,000 were awarded to the following teachers and staff in the Newport Public Schools:
- At Coggeshall School, to Marilyn Donnelly for a program entitled Culturally Fit Kids
- At Cranston Calvert School, to Kathleen Bradley and Lisa Pagliarini for a program entitled Building Relationships Through Hobbies
- At Cranston Calvert School, to Kate Caruolo and Lori Delemos for a program entitled Buddying for Literacy
- At Cranston Calvert School, to Jennifer Booth in coordination with Island Moving Company for a program entitled Creative Movement in Grade 2
- At Cranston Calvert School, to Claire Mey and Terrence Mey for a program involving the Audubon Society
- At Cranston Calvert School, Jennifer Booth for a program entitled Publishing on the Go
